Tales of Amedaria CCG

Hello everyone! Welcome back to MW Industries - Game Development and Software. This is Codemaster Jamal your Executive Admin here to bring you good news. We are working on a computer card game, or CCG for short, for the trading card game Tales of Amedaria. In late August, we release the first booster pack called "Flames of Intrigue". In this set, there are over 427 cards and more importantly, there are enough cards to form multiple strategies. There still isn't a single card on the ban list but ,we are waiting to see how gameplay goes before creating new cards for the game.

Soon, we will be releasing the Valcania and Jorgalla Starter Armies on The Game Crafter. Thank you to everyone for their support. Above is a screenshot of the CCG that we've been working on. CCG is short for computer card game but, in most cases actually means collectible card game. Tales of Amedaria CCG will be a downloadable and browser-based card game that you can play online against other Tales of Amedaria players world wide. The CCG will allow you to build your Armies and test out different strategies in-game against players across the world. The TCG is going to be a great addition to the MW Industries family and we welcome all players of all ages.

In the CCG, you will be allowed to customize your profile to your liking, participate in online matches as well as challenge NPC players. You will also be able to buy cards online using in-game Gold or using Popularity points that you can earn by posting online and participating in online events. You can also choose to buy Popularity points from our online Shop to enhance your gaming experience. Either way, it's completely up to you.

There's several features within the CCG but, for now, we will wait to reveal more features in later blogs and devlogs. We are waiting until the game is near finished before making another blog or devlog. By then, there will be much to show off or even better, you will get the chance the tryout the game yourself before putting any of your money into the game. These games are meant to be fun. Please let us know if they bore you to death.

The first set of cards for Tales of Amedaria TCG has been released on The Game Crafter. If you visit the Shop you will be able to find items available for the TCG. The first set is known as "Flames Of Intrigue" and is a crucial set for the series. Altogether, I don't plan on releasing any more than 9 books in the series but, there is a huge chance that the amount of cards in the game will be shortened. With each book after this, I plan on there being anywhere between 200-300 cards per set but, perhaps even less than that. The artwork for the cards tell a story and hopefully you guys will be able to piece things together and see what the story is about.

I personally will be releasing a devlog soon about my process for making this TCG and answer a lot of questions. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the topic and perhaps start another topic. Feel free to discuss the game as much as possible.

You can find all of the cards in the game in the Card Library. You can also look up the rules of the game to better understand how to play the game. It's not another Magic: The Gathering rip off and has some rules that are unique to itself. I hope you guys have fun playing this game as much as I had fun putting it together. I've been waiting for almost a decade to release this game. Thank you for your support!

Rulebook and Card Library

As of today, the Official Rulebook for Tales of Amedaria is complete. You can find the Rulebook here on the official website for viewing. You can also download a PDF. There should be an item for the first booster pack of Tales of Amedaria in the shop for the website. I will be officially releasing the TCG on August 1st, 2024.

You can also look through the Card Library for additional cards. This will be up to help form a strategies to play against different players. It took a long time to write this rulebook and soon there will be and printable version of the rulebook for sale on The Game Crafter website. We are using The Game Crafter to print the game for a number of reasons. Currently, I am working on a video to explain in detail about why I am going with The Game Crafter versus a larger company such as Cartamundi. For now, I think The Game Crafter will do well for this release of the game.

In terms of the rules, I don't plan on changing the rules anytime soon. I tested the rules with a friend and for the most part the game is balanced enough for friendly and competitive play. If there are any additional issues, please feel free to leave comments on the Forums. We are also looking for feedback for ways to improve the game. I don't plan on adding any additional summoning methods but, if you have any cool idea's for the game, feel free to leave them in the comments.

Prototypes and Playtesting

Hello everyone and welcome to another web post for Tales of Amedaria TCG! It's been announced on all of our other social media pages but, it ain't official until we announce it here. The prototypes have officially come in for the game!

With the prototypes in, we have officially playtested the game and it's glad to say that the game is a success. The game needs more playtesting but, this will be figured out once more people play the game. We want to make the rules fair for everyone and it seems like the game is very well balanced. The only issues I was facing during the playtest is the ability to draw Basic Characters. If your deck has enough Basic Characters, you can activate most abilities and effects in the game. Your Army heavily relies on Basic Characters but, that's what was expected and wanted in the game.

The rules for the most part are very balanced and work very well with any kind of deck but, the Armies that I have for sale need to be slightly modified for better gameplay between two players. Essentially, the Starter Armies are suppose to be good enough to play right away. There will be a tad bit of modification for the Starter Armies but, other than that, everything should be fine.

The first official release for the game will be the Book One : Flames Of Intrigue Booster Pack. Essentially, the way how Booster packs work is that, if you buy enough of them, you will be able to construct your own Army and play right away. We tested this theory and it works. Surprisingly, I was able to defeat a Starter Army with the deck I created from 5 booster packs. The game is a little un-easy because you will need to use the online library and the rulebook to look up effects for official rulings but, other than that, everything works.

The game is a success and we can't wait to start playing with all of you. Of course, this means that the official CCG will be coming out soon and because of that, we are aiming for online gameplay and online competitions. It may take a while until we have official tournaments for the game but, Codemaster Jamal will go into detail about it in an official devlog.

We also have the Rulebook up for download on the Tales of Amedaria side of the website. There's also a Card Library where you can look up additional information about cards and find unique strategies to play. The Rulebook will need some additional tweaking because, it was written and proofread by one person and I personally made a few spelling mistakes. There's also one additional rule I needed to add and at the time it was hard to do so because, I'm the only one working on everything plus, there's the additional of personal life struggles.

We are nearing the last steps in printing an official version of the game. This may include a CCG that I have been working on for a while. By August 1st, 2024 you will officially be able to buy physical copies of cards from an online store. We are not going to mention anything about the game until an official copy is produced.

You can take a look around the site before things are officially announced. I don't want to spoil anything but, you'll find something cool if you take your time to look around the site. As of now, the first "book" of Tales of Amedaria is called "Flames Of Intrigue". This book is meant to introduce a lot of core concepts for the game. It's also meant to be the largest set, with later releases planning to have fewer cards. I wanted there to be 9 books in total but, I think I may shorten it to 5 or 6. Each set of cards has a story to be told through the artwork. See if you can piece the story together.

As for the CCG, I plan on releasing it despite it's full functionality. I may release it just to showcase some networking capabilities but, there may not be a full game available. If possible, I'd like to give people the ability to play against AI and possibly against other players but, we need to but another month or so into developing the project. We want to get onto releasing Virtual Monsters as soon as possible.
